Blue Swans
Materials: Fabrics of different colors, Acrylic Paints, Chalk, Cotton
Year: Fall 2020
Class: Advanced Art Studio
Artist Statement:
The meaning behind my artwork is that Latin music doesn't necessarily mean the type of music that is heard today. There is tradition behind each recent song, and with it changes of the tradition. I think I meant it to be more like swan like with the flow of the dresses.
My inspiration was my background, Guatemala. It became even more because I love dancing and music so making artwork based on different musics and dances was very inspirational. I think I was more into it because of the music involved, each very different yet the same in may ways. That is where I got my inspiration.
I chose to create this because there are a lot of different races in this country but it seems that more people are interested into there own unless it is there race. I think some people need to know that there race is not below anyone else. I also chose to create this because this is of my background.

The meaning behind my artwork is that even though it is simple it can become greater and pleasant to watch. Pink is a calm color so I used it in the background and it was part of the Traditional Korean dance. It also symbolizes calmness and a circle of friends.
My inspiration was my love for K-Pop. So I decided to incorporate it into one of my artworks. I wanted to uses actual K-pop into my work but my artwork was to be traditional dance. I also wanted it to not be Chinese Traditional dance so I chose Korean since it is also relates to K-Pop. That is where I got my inspiration.
I chose to create this because I want it to not be Chinese Traditional dance so I chose Korean since it is also relates to K-Pop. I also did this because I felt like I need a calmer color into my art like light pink.

The meaning behind my artwork is that colorful can mean calmness. Some people think only one color at a time and light color can be calm. But I think various colors can be calm and soothing to others. My art is to express the motion and movement with the wind and sea of Hawaii. I made it so that I can have a near the ocean artwork of traditional dance.
My inspiration was Moana, not saying that it is Hawaii, but has the traditional and water and waves in it. I also got it from elementary when they would make us dance like ¨Hawaiians dance¨.That is where I got my inspiration.
I chose to create this because I want an ocean part in my collection of art.6
